Collection Overview

Over the years I have photographed a wide variety of food products, from cereal to beans to ice cream. I've collaborated with food stylists and designers to create the shots that make you hungry!

My Experience

My first big food shoot was of a burger with a juicy drip of sauce running down it. I learned pretty quickly that a stacked item is tricky. And getting that perfect sauce drip is even trickier. Since then, I've learned the closely held secrets of food photography, styling and lighting.

Food photography is like product photography except with every minute wasted, that piece of pretty, green-leaf lettuce is one step closer to being a wilted, brown mush. Having a great team helps ensure those precious minutes on set aren't wasted.

From the pre-production, propping, styling and shooting to the retouching, I can help you create your vision. I've worked with a wide variety of products and I have the tools to make your food products pop on set.

Using GenAI

As generative AI imagery diffusion models improve, they are becoming more and more instrumental to photography workflows. Here is an example of an outtake that fell flat compositionally. With the assistance of Photoshop's Beta Generative AI, I was able to add back in the visual interest the image was lacking.

While many ads make it look GenAI can do all the work, it's not quite there yet. This image was improved using around 7 different layers of generative fill and retouching. The results of image diffusion models can be unpredictable and sloppy. However, with the help of a skilled photoshop expert, GenAI can take your imagery to the next level.
